A World Amateur Trial - Tight (Sergi Vizcaino)

With this name today began a new section on our website and Nothing More Terror With the help of our partner Joan LaFulla put on trial all those jobs that we offer amateur daily. With that intention? There are two main reasons the first boost this work even more to encourage our visitors to view and give his opinion on the second and help in an objective and neutral to all amateur artists to continue to evolve and grow in their work. We hope to achieve both objectives and that all visitors and artists will appear this new section. We begin this journey with the analysis of Tight Sergi Vizcaino, a short film certainly worth seeing but do you think our friend Joan?. Forward Joan:

A few days ago, friends of "Terror and nothing more" have contacted me to throw a new proposal to air: make a series of comments on a few amateur productions.

Of course I took the proposal to the flight, although, to be honest, the theme of "amateur productions" received it with some suspicion and mistrust. The reason?, A wholly-and shameful disregard for the world of independent films.
I had no idea what it could find.

The first piece is from the title of "Tight" and is dirgida by Sergi Vizcaino.
Well, today I have seen "Tight" a total of six occasions. The first two stand for. The next two in order to fix and collect some notes for my comment. The last two for pure personal enjoyment.

"Tight" is an excellent proof that the will and effort to advance a personal project, combined with the talent and consistency of all those involved in it, may cause a result, not worthy, but with a suggestion and a power of fascination quite admirable.

"Tight" says the fears and insecurities of a teenager (played in a very solvent by television Michelle Jenner) are embodied in a terrifying specter that haunts every night in the darkness of his room. A spectrum that ultimately is the recreation of a much larger problem.

Nobody can help. The fear is rooted strongly in the interior part of it, eats, and even those who want more can come to their rescue.

After conducting an impeccable technique, a tight job of leading actress and an amazing work of characterization and makeup when it comes to the creation of the spectrum (at the height of which could offer any blockbuster U.S.), hides a History tells us that most of our primary fears, those that are innate, adjacent to our own human nature.
A pure and irrational fear that forces us back to our childhood, when the threat of the worst nightmares kept us awake until the early hours.

¿Remember the nights of solitude, wrapped in the darkness of your room when you push an irrational fear to hide beneath the sheets?
When looked in fear that any object under the cloak of night, it always seemed that it was not really? Or when avoided taking a hand or a foot beyond the limits of our bed, for fear that something or someone appears below it with force to pull us?

A compendium of childhood horrors that finds its place of accommodation in this small wonder entitled "Tight."

The nightmare of a child itself, under the excuse of a plot eating disorder, Sergi Vizcaino moved to the solvency of the world fears and insecurities adolescents.

I do not know whether the real will of the Catalan director was to offer his vision on the causes and consequences of disease (anorexia), which continues to affect thousands of young people who do not know or can not meet the aesthetic demands of a company each Again exclusive.
That is something that remains to Sergi Vizcaino, director and screenwriter of "Tight."

Personally I think the issue of anorexia is simply a perfect fit for the visual and emotional nightmare that we put "Tight."
Any other excuse would have been equally valid argument? It is possible ...

In any case, "Tight" is a superb exercise in style that brings us back to fears original founding primary. Fears forgotten and that we thought we were very present in our lonely nights and frightening children.

For my part I have only to congratulate Sergi Vizcaino, like all his team, and this new opportunity to thank the friends of "Terror and nothing more."
